Aria di mare
Tolò is a flagship of Noctis for its freshness, its lightness and its beautiful story written since its birth certificate.
It is a bed with a high lineage, a certificate of quality, an imprinting learned from those who gave it light: a noble father but without showing it off, letting his passions speak for him and living the joy of realizing them in his projects.
He was called Vittorio Prato.
He was a designer and interior designer with ingenious intuitions, considered an expert in the field of materials and technologies and for this reason called to collaborate – on the Milan scene of the design of the golden years – by characters such as Gio Ponti and Achille Castiglioni, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Mario Bellini and Vico Magistretti and the most imaginative Gaetano Pesce and Richard Sapper. Precisely because its author was an intelligent, witty person, who loved to play with creativity (thinking of Bruno Munari) Tolò immediately stripped of its noble origins, useless frills and pompous configurations, finding itself very comfortable within the simple clothes of an essential wooden bed, which was transmuted by a spartan beachchair from a beach of Romagna ancestry.
This beautiful birth and this beautiful story have a supporting role without which it would not have been written: a young Piero Priori who had started his business as an entrepreneur with enthusiasm and an ambitious dedication, together with his children eager to offer their customers “new, fresh, different and correct, from the design point of view, products “, says Ilaria, daughter of Prato. The challenge was welcomed with joy by the illustrious designer from Lombardia. The result was a stimulating and experienced collaboration with great participation on both sides. Tolò continues to be reborn in new versions even today, without ever giving up its happy sobriety and its sea taste.
At the heart of room, the Tolò bed evokes the essence of an endless summer, inspired by traditional beach chairs. Designed by architect Vittorio Prato, this bed combines ergonomics and emotion, with a multi- layered beech wood frame available in natural or white lacquer finishes. The stretched fabric headboard, customisable in various shades, adds a touch of freshness and lightness, transforming every night into an endless holiday dream. The headboard, characterised by a tensioned fabric, can be customised by choosing from the numerous variations in the sample collection, with the exception of leather and faux leather. This configuration gives the bed a light and contemporary look, ideal for modern and informal environments.
A variant of the model is the Tolò High, which features a higher headboard, accentuating the vertical lines and offering greater visual impact. Again, the frame is available in natural wood and white lacquer finishes, with a choice of various fabrics for the headboard. Both models have fully removable covers, maintenance and cleaning.
The Tolò bed is available in different sizes, including single, single and double, to suit various space requirements.
It is equipped with an orthopaedic slatted base with a double central support post and 14 65 mm birch slats, guaranteeing solid and comfortable support.
