Marvin - Come una nuvola

The year 2015 was the beginning of the collaboration between Studio Carlesi Design and Noctis, and more precisely on November 9th of that year, during a meeting in which President Piero Priori enthusiastically welcomed the projects presented, the idea of Marvin, not present among the initial sketches, was born. The inspiration of a bed “soft as a cloud” had been imprinted on a post-it note in the office, it might have seemed too bold to be developed right away, but Piero Priori’s charisma and vision prompted architect Silvia Giannessi to rediscover that concept, leading her to describe it in detail even if only through words, from the structure to the eye-catching design. The idea? To create a modern capitonné based on an unevenly perforated wood panel to allow the sturdy thread to outline soft geometric swellings. So, from a random hunch – while absent-mindedly wrapping a string around a package of tissues – Marvin was born, a unique and original product that today stands as a symbol of innovation and boldness, ready to revolutionize the way we experience comfort.

A surprising weave, an unusual fabric, a bed proud of its uniqueness. Its appearance caused astonishment and wonder. And it was love at first sight for those who appreciate bold innovations, ‘over-the-top’ comfort and swaggering design outside the box. Enveloping like a cloud, generous in form and inspired by maximum comfort. Marvin is an ode to relaxation. Thanks to a brilliant intuition, it presents an innovative design made unique by the use of Lycra, an unusual material for the sector, woven with an original material texture. This versatile design adapts harmoniously to both modern and more classic environments, expressing a multifaceted personality.
